Internships
Kuki’s Playshop internship programs provide real world work experience related to the arts, education, recreation, sales, operations, marketing and event coordination, in a team-oriented and creative environment. All interns must be at least 18 years old and available at least 20 hours per week between 9:00am – 5:30pm. All interns are required to attend an orientation training prior to start date. All candidates may be subject to background checks.

Early Childhood Intern
Position is available for an intern working directly with children and parents/guardians in our early childhood programs. This position assists the Adventure Leaders during classes, including set up, cleanup, puppet/toy fabrication, puppet show performances, music time, art, as well as program planning and evaluation. Volunteer is expected to be punctual, reliable, friendly, energetic, and courteous to our class registrants and visitors. The intern will also learn safety procedures, practice good personal hygiene, and have a proven interest in working with young children or education. Possibility of part time or full time paid positions may be offered at the end of the internship.
Graphic Design & Marketing Intern
Position is available for an intern interested in assisting sales and administrative coordinator in marketing and consumer products projects, including brochures, press releases, website, online marketing, outreach, and apparel. The intern will participate in complete project processes from design and implementation to distribution and evaluation.
Event Coordination Intern
Internship position is available that will help spearhead the coordination of special events and activities such as offsite performances, birthdays, tea parties and holiday events. Depending on the time of year and the interest of the intern, the position will focus on specific events approved by a supervisor. This position allows for a lot of creativity and potential opportunity to learn and network with partners, community, and the city during the event planning. Good organization, time management, and record keeping skills are necessary. Proven interest or background in related field is preferred.

Available Positions
Part Time Team Member
Positions are available for a part time Team Member assist in everyday activities including the following: sales, marketing, customer service, classes, birthdays, special events, and traveling puppet shows and activities. The Team Member must be organized, reliable, honest, friendly, courteous, show an interest in children’s programs and products, and have a strong sense of initiative. Quickbooks and POS systems experience preferred but not necessary.
Training will be provided. The Team Member will also enforce safety procedures, practice good personal hygiene, and have a proven interest and experience in working with young children and/or education. If the candidate wishes to stay longer than the temporary period, he/she is required to have a First Aid training from the Red Cross or American Heart Association for infants and children.
Workshop Leader
Multiple spots are available for a contracted position to lead parents-only or parent-child interactive educational or recreational workshops. Content and scheduling of program must be approved by the director and space usage is subject to a fee based on a percentage of registration earnings.
